Busy, busy!!

Life is actually pretty busy right now. ESPECIALLY with baseball and everything!!
Will's baseball season hasn't "officially" started yet, due to all the rain. :( Which means i haven't gotten a pay-check yet due to all the rain. :) haha. I work hard at the ball fields every year, but this year i have an official job!! yay!! I know once the rain slacks off thinsg will get even crazier.

Today was just a REALLY long day of school for me. I mean REALLY long. (like, im not done yet and its....8:30. yeah.) But the weather is nice and me and my little brother just went for a jog around the neighborhood, so i don't feel so cooped up. :)

Tomorrow will be crazy tho! Were going to have lunch with my grandmother, I'm going over to my aunts to get my eye brows done.. (ha ha..) grocery shopping...(ugh!) and then working tomorrow night. I think i will be doing just about all my school in the car tomorrow! :)

Then Friday is.... PROM!!!!! Yay! I'm sooo excited!! :) I'm going with some girlfriends, (i don't have a date) so imma def post a lot of pictures!!

I really do hate this time of year tho. Its just like, even tho we are staying very busy, i just want summer to be here so bad. This last quarter is always the hardest cause summer is so close you can taste it!!

Im am SO gonna start posting on here more!!

But its been so long since ive posted, its like i dont know where to start. Theres just SO MUCH i should write about. So, im just gonna start from TODAY and maybe that will keep me motivated to keep going. ;)

Last night was my lil sissy's 13th birthday. *sniff, sniff* She's so big. (Okay well she"s been "big" for a long time. HA. shes way taller than me.) But she's growing up. Its so cute. :)
She had 8... YES I SAID THAT RIGHT.... 8 girls spend the night and we all went to iHop last night at about mid-night. It was very fun! :D

Today my grandmother is taking her shopping, and me and Taylor are coming along as well. Hehe. ;) It will be alot of fun!!

TWILIGHT THE MOVIE

Saturday night me and a bunch of friends went and saw Twilight.

I am a really big Twilight fan. I love how it is just a fun, very fiction story for me to escaspe to for a while. I was very afraid that the movie was gonna ruin it all....

but....

IT DIDNT!!

They stayed very true to the book. I mean it was almost exact. The movie was totally awesome!!! :) Definatly recomended!!!

How did this happen?? When did this happen?? How in the world is it November 3, already?? TOMORROW IS ELECTION DAY!!!

Last week me and will were sick. :( Blah. We came down with it on Monday night and were still recovering on Thursday. But we are both alllll better now. Unfortunately, now Kristen has it. So were back at the beginning. Mom has lost her voice. So its really hard for her to teach us right now. Its just been pretty crazy. Please pray for every ones wellness. ;)

Halloween!!! YAY I LOVE HALLOWEEN! I told someone the other day... no matter how old you get... You never get to old for candy!! :) I didn't dress up as anything... but Thursday night my friend Kate stayed over with me. We sprayed each others hair pink... (HA that was interesting....) and i attempted to wear fake eye lashes!! lol that was fun!! Friday night we did the usual of going up to my grandparents house, and Trick Or Treating up there! It was lots of fun and i got lots of candy!!! =DD

So, this is the first time i've been on the computer all week. I should be getting ready for rehearsal, but i told myself i was GOING to do a quick post first. =]

My life right now is school and rehearsals. THATS IT. :-O lol.

Never before have i had to use the phrase "I cant... I have rehearsal" SO MUCH! haha

BLACK ELK SPEAKS OPENS FRIDAY NIGHT. SO, THAT MEANS WE ONLY HAVE TWO REHEARSALS LEFT. Kind of scary, but in a way its not. We've got all the blocking down, its just mainly tech stuff.

Omgeeeee is Thursday already? I don't believe it. I REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT.
Okay, i believe it. :)

This past weekend was the GBC ANNUAL CONFERENCE. Its just a time where preachers come from all around the country, and we all fellowship, learn allot, and just have a good time.

Its also such and awesome time for me, because i get to see allot of my girlfriends that i only see a couple times a year!! I'm going to write more as i go down, so keep reading! =]

The conference started on Thursday night (with services Thursday Night, Friday morning, Friday night, Saturday morning, Saturday night and Sunday morning) I was excited, but i started getting a little worried when Rebecca and her family didn't show up. :-/ So, Friday when i got to church, pappaw told me that he had gotton an email from Rebecca's dad saying they had been out of power for the past week, and would not be able to make it down this year. *WAAAAAAA* *sniffles* *WAAAAAAAAA* I was SO disappointed. But i had other friends there, so i knew we would still have a good time.

BUUUUUTTTTTTT............ FRIDAY AFTERNOON PAPPAW CALLED ME AND SAID THAT REBECCA'S DAD HAD EMAILED THAT MORNING AND SAID THAT THEIR POWER WAS BACK ON, AND THEY WERE FREE TO LEAVE THEIR HOUSE, AND THEY WOULD BE AT CHURCH FRIDAY NIGHT!!! *YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY* :DDDDDD

So it turned out to be an AWESOME weekend! :)

Something unusual also happened.... THERE WAS A WEDDING!!!

This couple was just going to go to the court house and get married, but their uncle, (who is also a pastor, and one of pappaws good friends) suggested that they just do the service after church on Saturday night. So that is what they did!! :) It was so sweet. Pappaw said something to her that i thought just made so much since. He said "You'll have people here that love you way more than anybody else". When were saved, were all brothers and sisters in Christ. It was like having several hundred of your brothers and sisters there, even if you don't know all of them! :)

Theatre = MY LIFE #2

WELLLLLLLL............
I just started ANOTHER show. :-)
Its at St. Luke, so I'm SUPER excited!!

The show is "They Chose Me" Its a musical about adoption, told in the kids perspective. When i heard what the show was about, i imidiently thought it was going to be something like "Annie". You know, poor kids, mean Miss Hannigin, lots of little girls, dull colors. I was WRONG. The show is something of a mix between Hairspray, High School Musical and Legally Blonde. There are lots of fun up-beat numbers, with lots of dancing! HOW COOL!!

The scary part: I actually have a 'character' in this show. I'm not just a chorus member. I have to SING. I have a couple places where I'm singing by myself. OMG!! haha. This will be a huge show for me.

I'm starting to SERIOUSLY think about voice lessons. I was really considering it during Cotton Patch, but the Carousel music was really easy (for me anyways...) so i didn't at the time. I think it would extremely beneficial, and i would learn so much!! So, we'll see!! :)

Guys, I'm so sorry for not posting very often! :(
I hardly have time to breathe lately.
School is keeping me so busy, its not even funny. =] lol
I sprained my ankle Monday, so that has kind of kept me confined to the couch.
But, i was able to make all the rehearsals this past week, in spite of my injury. Thank God. :)

We have OFFICIALLY blocked the whole show. That means, we have run every scene, ONCE. Only once. I'm not sure why our director did that (especially since we didn't even have a Black Elk yet...), but we have blocked the whole show.

We FINALLY got a Black Elk (THE LEAD ROLE) on Wednesday night. One of the men, who was going to be giving a pre-show concert Saturday night, agreed to do it for us. =] I think he will be really good!! So, he will start rehearsing with us on Monday, and i guess will start from the beginning. HA.

This show has SO MANY firsts for me.
1. It will be OUTSIDE.
2. OUUUUUTSIIIIIIIIDE!!!! In a huge field thing. They are making a HUUUGE stage. YAY!!!
3. Its my first ever straight-play. (a non-musical). And, I'm pretty darn excited about that.
4. Its my first show with this particular theatre.
5. Its my first show, that has not been based on White People. Its all about Indians in this one....
6. I'm playing an Indian Relative/several different spirits/a couple generals.... ETC.
The way this show works, is, its a grandfather (Black Elk) telling all his relative stories, and the relatives basically are acting-out the stories that he's telling.
How are Producing Director put it, were "white people playing Indians who are playing white people" haha so its... interesting. A challenge. A good challenge.

So, that's all i can think of right now, but I'm sure i will think of some more soon!!

Sunday night i left church early to go audition for a local show that i had just found out about, maybe, Friday...!?

The auditions were extremely easy. I just had to tell a little about myself, do some crazy walking (lol) and read a little from the script.

Tuesday they called and said they had a role for me and to come back Wednesday night for a meeting with the director.

So, me and my mom went. And, i am SO excited about the show. I think it will be great!!

As you can tell I don't really have time to write that much. And, i probably wont in the next couple weeks. Managing school and rehearsals will be quite hard! :)

Hey guys. I know i have been a HORRIBLE blogger this summer. I'm really sorry. Life just started getting SOOO crazy busy right around the time Carousel was opening, and i am just not beginning to catch my breath. Actually i was able to catch my breath last week, but was very busy at enjoying not doing anything... that i didn't post anything!! :) My bad.

Almost two weeks ago... (HAS IT REALLY BEEN THAT LONG?!....) we had VBS at our church. This is one of the biggest things our church (and my family) does all summer. As usual we had an amazing time full of adventures, videos, MANY PICTURES, and GUYS!!! :DDDDD lol sorry but those who were with me and Tay that week know what i mean...... *WIIIIIIINK* I had so much fun, i didn't want it to end. :'( But of course, it had to.

Well, tonight, i was supposed to go to an Audition, but at the last minute my dad got Atlanta Braves tickets. So he go off work early, and we all left for that. But, shortly after we left it started raining but we kept going, hoping it would slack off. Unfortunately, it didn't. We drove almost all the way to Atlanta, to eat at KRYSTALS!!! WHOOOHOOO WHAT A NIGHT. I mean seriously. There's no better way to spend your last day of summer than about three hours in the car!! :D haha So as you could guess we got pretty bored and had LOTS of fun with the camera!!

I ALMOST FORGOT SOMETHING!! Silly Me. Today is Taylor's BIRTHDAY!!!

I'm entering into a whole new stage of life as this school year starts. The stage of HIGH SCHOOL. Its very scary. I always thought High School would be some amazing adventure, and a sign of me growing up. So far its just flat our frightening. I'm nervous about getting good grades, keeping myself focused on the the right things, and facing things and people that i would rather not face. The only way I'm finding comfort and peace is number one, through my wonderful Lord and Savior who i know is ALWAYS with me, and second my mom who is constantly telling me that "I will not die!" ;) lol Thanks mom!!

I just finished my chocolate milk so i think that's a sign i better get to bed. No more sleeping until Eleven Stinking Clock. :P Hope you all had a wonderful summer as i did, and if your facing some of the things i am that YOU will find comfort in Jesus as i do. Talk to him. He's an awesome listener!!

ATHENS-------- The University of Georgia has been handed the top spot in the USA Today/Coaches’ pre-season poll announced Friday.

The number one ranking is Georgia’s first by a major national poll in the pre-season. The Bulldogs’ highest pre-season rankings by major polls have previously been recorded in 1942 (2nd AP); 2004 (3rd AP, 4th USA/Coaches); and 1967 (6th AP).

“Being number one in the coaches pre-season poll does have significance since it’s one-third of the formula to decide who plays in the national championship game,” said Richt. “But the post-season poll is the one that is the most important. However, I know the ranking is exciting for Georgia football and hopefully we can do our part to stay in the race.”

Georgia has been getting top attention by several pre-season football magazines including Sporting News (1st), Lindy’s (1st), Blue Ribbon (2nd), Athlon (5th), and Phil Steele (9th).

Georgia finished the 2007 season ranked 2nd by the Associated Press and 3rd by the USA Today/Coaches.

Life is still CRAZY!! Carousel ended Sunday. I then had three days to rest and relax, but we ended up running all around town on those days. Then, we left Thursday for a Youth Retreat in Helen Georgia. While we were there we met the Sipes to pick up Abby and Luke. Abby and Luke are from North Carolina, and they always come and stay a whole week with us during the summer to attend the VBS at our church. So VBS starts tonight. Oh my word when will we slow down?!

Honestly, this weekend went really well. Not to many problems as far as i know.
Sunday was paaaaaacked. Like, they were sending people to the balcony (where the cast usually sits when not on-stage) to sit for the show. Whoa. It was SO awesome. :D

The baseball season officially ended last night. They lost they're last game in the State tournament, and that ended it all. :( Will had an awesome time playing... and my dad... well, coaching was a good experience for him. ;) Haha no i think he had fun , it was just alot more than he had expected. So he gets about a month off... and then he starts FALL BALL. *rolls eyes* hahahahaha. He loves it so that's what matters. ;)

Well,

Thursday night was your typical opening night. Everybody's nervous. Just not the best show ever. ALSO, the crowd Thursday night was HOOOOORRIBLE. ugh. Like, no claps, no laughs, and hardly any people. It was really weird. As every actor knows the audience if half of your show, and its really hard to feed off a audience that looks like they're falling asleep. ;) HAHA. Billy forgot ALOT of his words in Soliliquy, yeah it just wasn't great.

Friday night was better. But we had a really small house Friday night also. Billy remembered his words. AHH I was so happy. I can't stand it when that happens.

Saturday was AWESOME. Packed out house, very receptive audience, no huge mistakes. Defiantly the best show so far.

Sunday, we switched off Billys' and Julies'. It was okay. I mean it was their opening night, (well, day. lol) so i have to be understanding. Sunday, was our biggest crowd. Its always that way, yet every time I'm surprised. lol.

So we start Round Two tomorrow night. Yay!!!

Carousel opens one week from tonight.
The set isn't finished.
Not everyone has costumes.
We still have never done a run-through of act 2.
There's a lot of scenes we have never run with a lead.

Yeah, everyone has begun to start getting stressed.

Last night, there was a lot of yelling, and tears. Please keep our cast in your prayers this week. This WILL be a beautiful show. I know it with all my heart. It just isn't there yet...

Dear Anticipating: Don't hold your breathe. They said they wanted to do a an interview with us, so we planned two features! One would be an inside feature in which they'd answer questions submitted by our readers through email. The second would be a cover story in which I'd interview them personally.
I sent 15 questions submitted by our readers-each Jonas would answer five-plus a bonus question that all three would answer. Many of the questions our readers asked dealt with faith and purity. I was excited about receiving their responses. We'd all heard they were Christians and wore purity rings.
Imagine my disappointment when their publicist wrote back and said they're finished discussing "purity rings and extremely personal questions and want to focus on music." I emphasized that because we're at Christian magazine, we naturally want them to discuss their faith and their purity a little before we dove into their music. But its a no-go. They're refusing.
I sent Martha, our associate editor, to one of their concerts, and she was disappointed they never mentioned their faith from stage. She was also disappointed to see them rip off parts of their shirts and toss them across the stage. We're all disappointed!

I'm not a huge Jonas Brothers fan, mainly because i just don't listen to their music. I don't have some huge something against them, like alot do.. But, i was disappointed when i read that. I mean, I'll be the first to admit it: The Jonas Brothers are extreeeeeeemly good looking! ;) But clearly their success has gone to their head.

As most of you know, i got tickets to go see Beauty and the Beast, for my birthday, well over a month ago. Yesterday, we made the drive down to the Cumberland County Playhouse, and i was amazed, once again, at what huge shows, little tiny theatres can put on.

The lead roles were A-MAZING. Absolutely FABULOUS!! I honestly don't know if i would have casted anybody differently. Belle was just superb. She said one of her favorite lead roles she's had was Julie Jordan (from Carousel) HOW COOL!! :D The Beast, was fantastic. He has a masters degree in music. Wow. Gaston was HILARIOUS!!! All the people were just marvelous!!!
*sigh* When, oh when, will I be in this show!?

Carousel Opening Night, is two weeks from tonight. TWO WEEKS. The set starts going up Saturday. Costume fittings are Sunday... I think... If i remember correctly. =)

Tuesday nights run through of Act 1, went reeeeally well. Like, i was amazed at how well everything actually went. Our leads, are just simply A-MAZING!! We have two Billy's and two Julies. I have picked my favorite Billy and Julie pair, but to be nice, I'm not going to mention any name on here. ;) Me and Carolina were talking about that Tuesday. They really just work well together. Last night, Tonight, and Friday, they're working on the death of Billy. What fun.

I am leaving in like thirty minutes to go see Beauty and The Beast. Yay!!!!

Baseball and Rehearsal

Whoa life is craaaaaaazy right now. Will's first baseball tournament was last weekend. They didn't play their best, but they were okay. ;) They are still practicing three days a week, with games on the weekend. Its a huuuuge time commitment for him, and our parents, but i think he's enjoying it.

Rehearsal. Last night was our first run through of act 1. It went pretty well, although it was Billy's first run through with any of the songs with us. We kind of had to stop and work around him learning the songs, so that was kind of frustrating. But, i think its coming along well. We run act 1 again tonight. What fun! :)

But, i mean nothing really that exciting has happened. Most days are just like, I get up really late, hang out, go to the pool, will has baseball practice and i have rehearsal. This week has been a little bit different in, I don't have rehearsal again 'till Friday. So I've got the nights off.

I AM going to start posting more... Because Taylor will get on to me if i don't. ;) Haha!!! :D

Wow, I'm waaaay behind on my posting!! Soooo sorry.

As you can tell, im not sticking to my -post-something-every-day goal. lol

As you probably also can tell, i haven't been doing bumper stickers. I will resume those again when summer is over.

Life is very crazy right now, but its a good crazy!! :)

Will finished regular season baseball a couple weeks ago, and my dad somehow ended up coaching All-Stars. ;) So, they have practice three times a week. This is the first time that my dad has coached a team by himself, and it is a new thing for all of us, but i think he will be glad that he did it when its all over. They start tournaments, next week i think....

On Will's VERY LAST GAME, he hit it OVER THE FENCE. Here is what mom wrote about it..

Will's first at-bat during the second game, he hit a ball over the fence. We were SO excited!!! He was one of only 3 kids who hit one over the fence this year in his age bracket. I wish I had had my camera. I will never forget -- as Will touched home plate, Billy was standing there with his arms open and Will jumped into his daddy's arms and Billy swung him around. I had tears in my eyes as I watched them together. What a precious moment!!

I still have rehearsal for Carousel every day, so that also keeps us busy. Carousel is going really well right now. I still cant see how it is all going to come together, but it always does!! :) I have like four days off next week, so I'm going to invite lots of friends over!!!! :D lol

Besides baseball and Carousel, we have been going to the pool alot, and just enjoying Summer. I LOVE not having to do anything when i get up in the morning!!!

I wrote in my last post that i was reading Saint. But like a hour after i wrote that, my dad came home with the last three Millie books!!! *grins* So, i kind of stopped reading Saint for a few days, and read those, but now I'm back to that!!!

I've done 11 so far in my goal of 30!! Some have been long, and some have been short. So far The Lost Books have been my favorites, but Book Of A Thousand Days was absolutely amazing!! Have any of you read Shannon Hale's book, Austinland, i think is what it was called...!? I saw it and thought it looked pretty good, i wanted to get a opinion first!! lol

I just finished "The Lost Books", (Chosen, Infidel, Renegade and Chaos) and they were absolutly amazing!!!! A definate MUST READ!!!! My advice would be though, read The Circle Trilogy, and Showdown first. It just kind of helps.

Im reading "Saint" now. Its a sequel to Showdown... but im not really sure how they are going to connect yet...

'Carousel' started yesterday. We got some of the first song blocked. It's SOOO long with NO words. How weird. Anyways, I'm excited. The rehearsals are allot more intense than my last two shows. First of all, i have to apologize. I have not been writing on my blog near as much as i had hoped too. :( I would like to say that i have been SOOOO busy, and that i haven't even had a moment to turn my computer on... but that sadly, is not the case. I just have been lazy.

Yesterday: We got up. (WOOT WOOT EXCITING LIFE!! lol) My cousins were at my grandparents house, so we went to go visit with them. Then we went to the pool for a couple hours. The water was FREEEZING!! This time last may, it was already in like the 90's, but i don't know what the deal is this year, cause its been cool. But hey! That's fine with me!! :) So, me and Taylor didn't get in much, we just mainly sat out. Guess what!!! I got very sun burnt!! :( It wasn't even sunny!! POO!! Okay, so that's not a good excuse... but it sounds okay... doesn't it?! ;)

After we walked home from the pool, i ran for a little while, then took a shower. Once again... EXCITING!!! ;) Then we went to McDonald's to eat dinner.

After we ate, we ran home really quick so Will could change, then we headed off the the ball parks. Will is in his "end of the season tournament" right now, and next time the lose, they're out. That's sad.

Anyways, so they played at 6:15, and won, while i worked in the Concession stand as usual. Oh my gosh, i have a new respect for those lady's that usually run it. lol.

So Will's team won, and my parents stayed and watched the game after Will's. Also, my dad has just committed to coaching the 8 year-old All-Star team, so he was trying to recruit some young players last night. ;) It looks like we may have a decent team.

Today : I am doing NOTHING, ALL DAY LONG!!!!!!!!! lol. We have nowhere to be, until tonight, so...

Because the boys won last night, they play tonight at 6:15, and if they win that, then they play again at 7:30.

Im sorry for not posting lately. My blog has been very messed up. But i think i have most everything fixed, for now anyways. lol.

We finished school Thursday, so that was exciting.

Thursday night, we left for Louisiana. We drove to Tuscaloosa Alabama. Then we left early Friday morning, and got to Baton Rouge at about three or four. So it wasn't a bad trip, just long. ;)

The confrence was wonderful!! I enjoyed myself so much. I really hope that we get to go back next year.

I am sitting here in our hotel room in Baton Rouge Louisiana. The reason i am not getting ready to go is because Kristen is hogging the bathroom. ;)

Okay, so we left Thursday night and drove to Tuscaloosa Alabama. Then we go up early Friday and drove here. We arrived in Baton Rouge at about four-thirty our time, three-thirty yesterday.

Pappaw is preaching tonight, and like always me and Kristen are doing a song right before him! :) lol.

ATTENTION!!!!!!!!

I just added the "Currently Reading" back to the side of my blog.

I'm reading three books right now. Yes, three. At one time. ;-)
But, this is why. I was re-reading Anne Of Green Gables, and then my dad got done with Infidel, so i HAD to read that, but then Book of a Thousand Days came in, so i HAD to read it. So, what I'm reading today is Book of a Thousand days (that's why its over there).

Since the title of this post is "Books!!", (Yes, aren't i creative!!?? lol) I thought i should go ahead and start my list of books that i have read so far in this summer-reading program that i created for myself!! lol. But I've only read two since then... so....

1. Chosen by Ted Dekker. LOOOOOVED this book. It was filled with drama, and intense-ness (is that a word? lol) Mystery, and romance all at one time! *melts* I heart Ted Dekker.
2. Princess Academy by Shannon Hale. LOOOOVED this book too!! It reminded me a little bit of the story of Esther. I can imagine that some things that happened to Miri may have happened to Esther too.

*TA-DA* There you have it... now i only have twenty-eight left go go. :P

Would you ever tryout for American Idol?
No, i don't think so. Singing solo just isn't something that I'm very comfortable with!! *shudders* ;)

Would you rather star in a Broadway show or a Hollywood movie?
Oh goodness. I think this just depends on my mood. Some days i want to be a movie star, and others i just want to dance and sing on stage.

If you had to change your first name, what name would you pick?
Ummmm......... I have NO clue. lol

What got you interested in acting?
My grandmother actually. She always told me to i needed to get into it... but I just never did. lol. When a local theatre was doing "Annie" (My favorite movie since i was like 5...) I decided that i would give it a shot. And it all worked out.

What are some of your acting dreams/goals?
Oh wow, this is a tough question. I think one would be (and you all probably know this... ;) ) to be in "Beauty and the Beast" . I don't think i would mind being a fork, as long as i was in it. But, i would like to do "The Sound Of Music" allot too.. or "The Phantom of the Opera"....

If you could learn a foreign language what would it be?
Does American Sign Language count??? Well, since this is my quiz thing... it is going too. :P I already know alot... but i still have a lot left to go.

First of all i would like to say that i am very sad and hurt. Do you want to know why?! It is because no body is commenting on my blog anymore. *sniff* Do you not read it.... or do you just not comment after you read it? (I like to believe this one. lol) Anyways, i ask for you, even if you don't have a blog of your own, to comment. I like to know how you feel, or what you think about what i write about. ;)

What a crazy weekend we had!! We finished up our home school co-op thingy Friday. It was sad, but i was happy because i am so ready to be out of school. Summer is getting here fast!

Friday night, Mammaw picked me and Taylor up, and we went and got out nails done. lol. After that we went to eat, and went shopping. Every year she takes us to eat and shopping for our birthday, and because she will be gone next week, she went ahead and took me early. I got some really cute clothes that i am excited about!! ;)

Saturday morning, Me, Kick and Dad went Mother's Day Shopping. We came home for about a hour, then had to head out again because Will had a game. I didn't get to watch much of the game, because i was working in the concession stand (the lady's who usually run it was sick... i think..... so i was asked to) but i heard they played a great game. They won 22-16. (Their first game won in quite a while. ;) )Will, got another home run. I think that makes about 20 this season. ;) lol.

Also, we found out that there is a possibility that there will not be an eight year old All-Star team this year. They cant find enough people who are interested. Will's All-Star coach from last year told us about maybe getting him onto a Independent team for the summer. (Not really sure what that is but...lol) So we are not sure what this summer holds for baseball. ;) lol

Saturday night, we had Mother's Day at my grandparents house. They are going out of town for their 40th Anniversary today, so that's why we went ahead and had it.

Later Saturday night, i went home with Taylor to stay the night, but before we went to their house, we had to stop by their pool, and check on the water or something....lol. Anyways, one thing led to another, and we all ended up swimming in it. :)

While I was at the pool, i got a call from Kristen telling me that Rebbecca, (a friend of mine that live in Ohio) had called saying they were in (here), and wanted to know what time church was. *squeel* So, Rebecca and her family were at church today. And, there is no way pappaw would let her come to church and not sing, so she played the Piano and sang the hymn "It is Well With My Soul". It was beautiful. It was really cool to get to see all of them. :)

I also would like to tell everyone, that Rebecca (see above. lol) has the lead role in the Music Man. She has been rehearsing since September, and her performance is in the middle of June. I wanted to go up to Ohio and see her perform... but i don't think that is going to happen. lol

Speaking of performing.... *drumroll* I AM DOING CAROUSEL!!!!! YAY!! lol. First rehearsal is May 31st. Visit here for info on the show. It sounds very fun! I cant wait.

A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention in Chicago . They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of time for Friday night's dinner. In their rush, with tickets and briefcases, one of these salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table which held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere. Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly missed boarding. ALL BUT ONE !!! He paused, took a deep breath, and experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been overturned.

He told his buddies to go on without him, waved good-bye, told one of them to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the terminal floor. He was glad he did.

The 16 year old girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same time helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled about her, no one stopping and no one to care for her plight.

The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put them back on the table and helped organize her display. As he did this, he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in another basket.

When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl, "Here, please take this $40 for the damage w e did. Are you okay?" She nodded through her tears. He continued on with, "I hope we didn't spoil your day too badly."

As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called out to him, "Mister...." He paused and turned to look back into those blind eyes. She continued, "Are you Jesus?"

He stopped in mid-stride, and he wondered. Then slowly he made his way to catch the later flight with that question burning and bouncing about in his soul: "Are you Jesus?" Do people mistake you for Jesus?That's our Destiny, is it not? To be so much like Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we live and interact with a world that is blind to His love, life and grace.

If we claim to know Him, we should live, walk and act as He would.

Knowing Him is more than simply quoting Scripture and going to church. It's actually living the Word as life unfolds day to day.

You are the apple of His eye even though we, too, have been bruised by a fall. He stopped what He was doing and picked you and me up on a hill called Calvary and paid in full for our damaged fruit.

AI F4 Contest Winner

Every year my family holds the "Annual American Idol Final Four Pick 'em Contest". (We are Idol obsessed)

I won last year!! But this year, my uncle (Tim, Taylor's dad. My moms brother) won. Now, any of you who know him, know he is very dramatic, quite silly and tends to take things WAAAY to seriously. He sent out an acceptance speech to the whole family. (Yes, i said speech) I thought it was very funny, so here it is.

(BTW, most things in here are family jokes, so any questions just ask. ;) lol)

Well, what a night. I would like to say that dinner or no dinner, I feel a true sense of accomplishment in having won the final four. I can't give myself credit though

It happened through much perseverance and support of my family and friends.

I would like to thank Billy first and foremost for reminding me how important it is to remain as playful as a red raspberry and for acknowledging that they are Timlicious. I thought the term had died.

I would like to thank my wife and children who put up with me during some of the most gruelling moments. Such as when Michael Johns got voted off and I was contemplating suicide, up to last night when I gained a new love for Pap's incredible idea of an Atwood Idol competition, now known as the AIC.

Thanks dad. You are an inspiration to those of us that have very few good ideas. I would like to say to you that there's something that I would suggest the next time you feel like all is lost and that you have failed the AIC. Go stand in front of a mirror and repeat the following 5 times:

"I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggonit, people like me."

I would also like to thank my mom, for......uhhhhhh..... for doing such a good job at Stamping Up. We rarely have an occasion where we are lacking in greeting cards and you just don't know how nice that is.

My sister? My good ole sister who has stuck with me through thick and thin and whose purity allows her to vote for people who just simply are decent people. She will probably never win the final 4 of this competition, but her heart is in the right place. You are special sis.

My dearest nieces and nephew Hannah, and Kristen, and Will for just being so cute and letting me know that I really needed to get back to work yesterday(thanks Hannah).

And most of all God who has allowed me to learn to go against the flow or the norm, if you will. I went out on a limb and was the only one to pick Syesha, amidst criticism and shame. I have learned through his experience that it's okay to stand out in a crowd and to not have to follow others which really helps when those others have gas.

Shannon Hale and Ant Bites

Today, i put two books on hold at the library. The Princess Academy, and Book Of A Thousand Days, both by Shannon Hale. I am excited to go pick them up, they sound great!!

I don't know why this is, but i always seem to slack off in my reading during the winter. Isn't that odd? I would think i would read more then... Anyways, i am getting back on track, and have made a new goal for myself. I am going to try to read 35 novels, between now and the time school starts back. I may read more, and i may read less. We shall see.

Now for the ant bites part...
Yesterday will was playing outside with my cousin, and apparently was playing a game on his hands and knees. When he left, he was just like "Hey Mom, i think i got an ant bite". We didn't think much of it. But while we were at the library, it got worse. We gave him some Benadryl, and he was fine for the rest of the day.

This morning, he got up and had a thumb the size of banana. *shudders* He is at doctor with mom right now.

I would like to congratulate mom on taking Will to the doctor. :) Most of you probably do not know this, but my mother will do everything in her power not go to the doctor, and not have to take us. We NEVER go, which is fine by me. But, her and my dad thought it best just to have it looked at. :)

Hello All. So far I am sticking to my blogging every day goal... but then again its only been three days. :) lol

Today was are usual very crazy Wednesday. We first met my grandfather at a carpet place to look at carpet for our church. Second we went and ate lunch with my grandmother. After that, we went to my cousins house, and Tarah cut my hair. Fourth-ly (is that a word!? lol....) We went to the Library and did school. And, i found some AWESOME books to get... but we didn't have the card. :( Then, we went to the park and finished doing school (lol) and walked. Also tonight our church was having a dinner, so we went to church early for that. Church was reeeeally good tonight, there was a really good crowd.

Okay so that was probably just very boring.... lol. So what did you all think of Idol last night?

Okay, so i was tired of the grass blog theme, and i found this one. But, i just cant decided if i just love it. So you may be seeing new blog layouts on here every day for a while. lol

I have made two new blogging goals for myself. I realised that i wasn't posting very many things on whats happening in my life. So....

Blogging Goal #1: Post something every day. (For all of my faithful readers out there who check every hour!! ;) lol)

Blogging Goal #2: Every day that I post, tell about that day, what i did, things i learned, etc!! I want to have more writing on here than videos. If i don't have something interesting to tell, then i will post a video. lol.

RANDOM MOMENT!!!!!!! This is my new favorite song from Wicked. Think about how much emotion she has to put into this song. You can not just get up and sing this song, you really have to get into it, and feel it. PLUS, i love the scene before it. :)

This weeks happenings:
We are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO busy right now. Life just really crazy as we head into summer. Friday, we went and saw my little cousin play softball for the first time. She plays in the 5/6 league, and they are CUUUUUTE!!! :)

Saturday, Will had a baseball game that me and Kick had to miss because we had a PIM performance. It went really well, and didn't rain on us. :) Maegan surprised us IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SET, telling us that we were going to do "Made To Love" by Toby Mac (AWESOME SONG BTW) that we had not practiced in 6 months. lol. But i think it turned out okay.

Sunday, We had church as usual Sunday morning, but Sunday night our church, another church from North GA, and JOY 1490 all sponsored a "Rejoicing In Grace Fellowship Rally" I think is what it was called.... lol. There was a decent amount of people there. Me and Kristen did two songs, I did "I Can Only Imagine" By Mercy Me, (By Request of a man in our church. :) ) and me and Kristen did "Jesus Paid It All" by Kristian Stanfill. There was some GREAT preaching. It was just a nice time to meet and hang out with people of like faith.

Today, we got up REALLY early, and went and saw "The Wiz" at GPS. But because it was a school performance they cut out half of it. Although, you couldn't really tell. It was a really good show, and i loved the actors in it, but i just have to say, I don't think i can enjoy any other version of "The Wizard Of Oz" than that and "Wicked". When the Wicked Witch of the West came out, (who i must say was very oddly cast...) Will leaned over to me and said, "That's Elphaba!!!" :D lol. I'm teaching him well. ;)

After we got home from that, i did a little school, then had to go to the Orthodontist because i had broke a wire on my braces. I must say i am rough on them. :) lol. Also, Will had a baseball game tonight. They lost by two points, but they played GREAT!! So much better than they have been being. And.... WILL GOT A GRAND SLAM. His first of this season. He was sooooooo excited!!

BASEBALL!!!

As most of you probably know, baseball is a big part of our spring ever year (and summer last year). Wills first offical game was yesterday, and they won 10 to 16. They played GREAT. Espicially for losing there first two games. We were at the ball parks all day on Saturday, and i have to say i am quite sunburnt!! I have lines on my feet from flip-flops. :( lol Will is playing first base this year, (he has played short-stop for the past two years) and is loving it! Its amazing watching him play, because he is so passionate about it. He loves it so much!! Im proud to be a sister of such a great player! :)

SPRING!!! Can you believe its here? Technically, its been here a while, but it is just now starting to feel like it. In honor of spring, i have done a spring back ground for my blog. lol.

We have been enjoying this beautiful weather while it lasts... here are some pictures of us playing basketball.

OMG!!!! Most of you know i am a faithful American Idol watcher. lol! I was sooooo shocked by the results last night. I mean Michael Johns??? He wasn't my favorite, but i thought he would stay much longer!!!!

Okay.... so on May 15, it will be my two year anniversary of my blog. Last year, Miss Erin did something i thought was pretty neat. So I'm going to copy it... Hope you don't mind! :)

What she did was tell everybody to ask her some random questions, and she would answer them on the day. So, that's what I'm going to do. Questions can vary from 'Whats you favorite sport' to 'Have you ever died your hair'. ANYTHING. Got it? I will answer them around the time i started blogging!! :)

As fun as it can be to wear cozy sweaters and khakis, down-filled jackets and brightly colored mittens all winter, doesn’t it feel good to shed some weight — clothing weight, that is — when spring and summer roll around? No more turtlenecks and tights; it’s time for arms and legs to see the sun!

Too Much Too Little
Today’s fashion has taken girls away from showing off their personality and instead has them trying to show off their sexuality. It’s not something I want to see anywhere — especially when I’m at church.

Have you noticed that when you raise your hands in the air, your shirt goes up, too? Whether you’re worshiping God or signing for the hearing-impaired, a cropped top is going to be on the move when you raise your hands above your head. Do you really want to expose your tummy and back to other Christians while they’re worshiping? Why distract people from the Lord?

Speaking of Distraction
If you’ve read Brio for long, this won’t be a new idea to you. But even if you’re reading it for the 100th time, it’s worth reading again. The type of clothes a girl wears can instantly distract a guy from what he has on his mind to thoughts bordering on or diving in to lust.

Say your friend Brad is standing before your youth group because your youth pastor asked him to read a passage from the Bible. Brad pauses as he’s reading to make eye contact with the group, just as his speech teacher taught him to do.

The moment Brad looks up, he sees a girl wearing a tight T-shirt. Immediately, Brad’s mind is distracted from the Lord and the Bible — two things he’s truly interested in.

Brad’s able to keep going. He doesn’t let on that he’s no longer concentrating on the words coming from his mouth. But in fact, for the rest of the evening, Brad feels uncomfortable around the girl he spotted, struggling between sinful thoughts and wanting to treat her as a sister in Christ.

All because of a T-shirt? you might think. Yes — all because of a tight T-shirt that showed too much of a girl’s body.

It’s Worth the Work
Choosing clothes is quite a responsibility, because what you wear says a lot about you. With one look, people can guess whether you’re showing off personality or sexuality, whether you’re living for the Lord or living for the world and whether you’re trying to get a guy’s attention with your body. What image do you want to portray?

Even though it takes work to pore through racks and shelves of clothes to find a handful of modest, stylish items, it really is worth the effort. Dressing appropriately becomes easier when you realize that all you have to do is think about being modest while you’re shopping and while you’re getting dressed.

So how does God want today’s teen girls to dress? Through the apostle Paul He said, “I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety” (1 Timothy 2:9). That means He wants you to be careful with your appearance. Selecting appropriate clothes is easier when you know what you’re doing. Here’s a list of ideas to help.

While You’re Shopping
• Choose tanks with wider straps (wide enough to cover your bra strap), smaller arm holes (so your bra isn’t viewable under your arm) and loose cuts (so it doesn’t fit like a glove).

• Don’t even consider low-rider pants, unless you’re always going to wear a long shirt with them. Select pants with a higher waistband.

• When you can, choose shorts with a longer inseam. A good guideline is having at least a 7-inch inseam.

• Wear T-shirts and tops that have crewnecks or higher V-necks

• Buy sleeveless shirts that have smaller arm holes.

• Choose clothes that flatter your body shape and size.

In the Dressing Room
It may help to have your mom or a friend give feedback in the dressing room.

• Try everything on so you can be sure it’s modest before you make a purchase.

• While wearing a new shirt, bend over in front of a mirror. Can you see into the shirt through the neck hole? Lift your hands above your head. Does the shirt rise so that your tummy is visible? Take a side view of yourself with your arms slightly raised. Can you easily see into your shirt through the arm hole? Is your bra visible in any way?

• When trying on a pair of pants, do you have to suck in your stomach to zip or button them? Is it uncomfortable to sit in them? (If you answered yes to either question, the pants are too tight to wear out of the dressing room.) Can you bend over in the pants without your underwear showing in the back?

• With a pair of shorts, is your underwear visible in the back when you bend over? When you sit on the floor in front of a mirror and spread your legs apart as if you’re stretching, can you see your underwear or see into your shorts? (If so, they’re not a good buy.)

• If you’re trying on a dress or skirt, apply the same questions mentioned above.

Once You’re Home
• If you have a shirt that allows someone to see your bra through arm holes that are too big, add a tank underneath it.

• If you have a spaghetti-strap tank, wear it under another shirt or layer it over a tank with wider straps.

• If you have a cropped-top, layer it over a longer shirt.

• If you have low-riding pants, wear a shirt that hangs at least a couple inches below the waistband.

• Ask for your mom, dad, or brother’s opinion on what you’re wearing before you leave the house. They don’t have to like the color or style. You just need to hear if your outfit is modest.

Forever Fashion
Some things never go out of style. Clothe yourself with the following and you’ll always look good!

In Memory of Papa Hoyt

Wednesday will be the two year anniversary of the death of my grandfather. (My dad's dad)

I will never forget that Sunday morning. I woke up to find my mom on the phone, being told that my grandfather had, had a heart attack and passed away as soon as he got to work. It was SO shocking. To have someone one day, and then not the next is hard to comprehend.

After we had told my brother and sister, my parents went down to there house to be with family, and my siblings and I went to church with my grandparents. Never before have i been so thankful for a wonderful Church family. I think everyone came and hugged me, telling me it would be okay.

The funeral was that Tuesday and Wednesday. The second family member funeral i had ever been to.

My other grandfather did the funeral service. (Because Papa Hoyt went to church with us for many years.) It was so wonderful, and refreshing to hear him talk about Papa Hoyt, and his salvation. There is no doubt in my mind that he is with God in Heaven right now. He let everyone know that.

I miss him so much. He truly was a 'example of the believers'. He always stood up for what he believed in, and was always telling people about The Gospel. I wish i was more like him. It makes me sad to know that i only got to spend twelve years of my life with him, but what i rejoice in is knowing that i will spend eternity with him in heaven. What a peace that brings.

I don't know if any of this has made sense, but please keep my family in your prayers this week, especially my dad, and grandmother.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Movie Review

In a tree farm, three musically inclined chipmunks, Alvin, Simon and Theodore, find their tree cut down and sent to Los Angeles. Once there, they meet the frustrated songwriter David Seville, and despite a poor house wrecking first impression, they impress him with their singing talent. Seeing the opportunity for success, both human and chipmunks make a pact for them to sing his songs. While that ambition proves a frustrating struggle with the difficult trio, the dream does come true after all. However, that success presents its own trials as their unscrupulous record executive, Ian Hawke, plans to break up this family to exploit the boys. Can Dave and the Chipmunks discover what they really value amid the superficial glamor around them?

What a cute movie. I enjoyed it, but not as much my brother did. He laughed the whole movie long. Very clean, and very entertaining. A good family movie.
